
AeroSur
is a private Bolivian airline that has operated since August 24,
1992. It offers quality service and this distinguishes it as the
Bolivian flag carrier.
AeroSur is a dynamic and enterprising company identified with
their country, building a vision of turning Bolivia and mainly
Santa Cruz as an air traffic distribution centre in South
America with connections to North America and Europe.
The airline is firmly the leader in passenger
transportation in Bolivia, integrating cities as La Paz,
Cochabamba, Santa Cruz, Sucre, Tarija, Cobija, Puerto Surez and
Uyuni. To access smaller towns, the company has trade agreements
with other airlines to offer passengers domestic destinations.
The rapid expansion of Aerosur increases its
international presence with new routes connecting with important
cities such as Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Lima, Miami, Madrid,
Asuncin, Tucumn, Salta and Cusco. Commercial agreements with
airlines from other countries, also allows the company to offer
its passengers, destinations all over the world.
AeroSur owns a fleet of 16 aircraft. Among the
latest acquisitions are two new aircraft, a Boeing 747-400 for
direct flights to Madrid with a capacity for 451 passengers and
a Boeing 737-300 with a capacity for 126 passengers to make
direct, daily flights to Sao Paulo.
AeroSur's cargo service has a modern informatics
system and a logistics department to transport valuable cargo,
perishable cargo and live animals to all destinations in Bolivia
and international routes. The cargo service also offers
transportation to any destination in the world, through
agreements with other airlines and ground transportation
companies.
